GTA's First Mixed-Gender Duo
GTA VI is the first mainline entry to feature two playable protagonists from the beginning — Jason and Lucia. This mirrors Rockstar's increasingly character-driven approach since RDR2.
Jason
A rural Leonida native with a military background, Jason is most at home in the Everglades. His gameplay centers around survival skills, heavy weapons, and off-road vehicles.
Lucia
Urban, sharp, and connected. Lucia grew up in Vice City's criminal underworld and brings hacking skills and a deep network of contacts. She's the brains behind most of the heists shown in trailers.
Their Dynamic
The trailers suggest a Bonnie & Clyde style relationship — trust built under pressure, constantly tested by circumstances neither fully controls. Their stories begin separately and converge around a major cartel operation.
Switching Between Characters
Like GTA 5's trio, players can freely switch between Jason and Lucia outside of missions. Some missions lock you into a specific character; others offer a choice that affects the approach available.
